Technology Selection

The careful selection of subsea technology, flow assurance, risers and mooring, appropriate gas processing and liquefaction technologies, rotating equipment, LNG and LPG storage and offloading technologies, and the detailed analysis of the implications of each alternative, are key to generate a robust basis for a FEED of an FLNG project.

Process Modeling

Mercury removal, dehydration, dew point control and acid gas removal are required to ensure safe and reliable liquefaction of the produced gas. CO2 injection may be considered to reduce emissions and comply with regulatory requirements.

The feasibility analysis outputs are studied and evaluated, including the use of process simulation packages such as
HYSIS, Pro-II, HTFS and bespoke software, to produce recommendations on the process to achieve the desired LNG and LPG production rates, reliability, availability and efficiencies.
